Correction

After checking the Atlanta Journal site, it looks like the pipelines are pumping into Atlanta again, even if not at full capacity. The price spikes and lines were a result of panic buying on the part of consumers, and price-gouging on the part of stations.

I'm glad I suckered into one of those hours-long lines to get reamed for gas prices like $3.50 yesterday! I mean, gas shouldn't reach that price until at least ... oh, say November at least!

I hear the prices in town have leveled back down to their (still criminally high) post-Iraq War levels, but I haven't filled up yet. Jeez, I can barely afford to fill the tank the whole way anyway!

I could go on and on, complaining, but seeing New Orleans sort of puts things in perspective.

So, it'll be at least a day or two before I start bitching again!
